Federal Member for Berowra, Julian Leeser MP, has opened the Eileen Perottet Therapy and Wellness Centre at Mt Wilga Private Rehabilitation Hospital.

Mr Leeser opened the facility during Mt Wilga’s 65th anniversary celebrations last week.

“Mt Wilga provides vital rehabilitation and therapy services to people in the Hornsby area and beyond. I would like to congratulate Mt Wilga Private Hospital and their outstanding Chief Executive Officer, Lorrie Mohsen, for providing 65 years of specialist service to the local community,” Mr Leeser said. 

“To mark this milestone occasion, I was delighted to unveil a new centre honouring Eileen Perottet’s tremendous contribution to the physiotherapy industry through sport,” Mr Leeser said.

The centre has been named in honour of Eileen Perottet’s dedication to the field of rehabilitation as an Australian Physiotherapist.

Ms Perottet was a senior physiotherapist at Mount Wilga Rehabilitation Centre in the late 1950s and 60s and was known for her contributions to the Australian Paralympic movement.

Opened in 1953, Mt Wilga Private Rehabilitation Hospital is part of Ramsay Health Care and is located in Hornsby. The hospital provides specialist rehabilitation services to the community.
