Federal Member for Berowra Julian Leeser MP has welcomed the launch of a new Telstra mobile tower in Sackville North as part of the Turnbull Government’s Mobile Black Spot Program.

The Federal Government’s Mobile Black Spot Program is one of the largest ever expansions of mobile coverage in previously underserviced areas in Australia.

The new tower came online in late December 2017, providing comprehensive mobile phone coverage for residents in Sackville North, South Maroota, Maraylya and Forest Glen.

Mr Leeser says the better mobile reception will significantly improve residents’ lives in the area.

“Residents in towns including Sackville North, South Maroota, Maraylya and Forest Glen live in one of the most beautiful parts of Berowra, but the topography of the area presents telecommunications challenges. Now their businesses and ability to stay in touch with family and friends will benefit,” he said.
