Federal Member for Berowra Julian Leeser MP has presented Beecroft Bowling and Recreation Club with a $5,000  Stronger Communities grant for recarpeting.

Mr Leeser said the money would benefit the popular Bowling Club and the many groups that use the facilities.

“It’s great to give back to a Bowling Club that gives so much itself to the community,” Mr Leeser said.

“I’m thrilled to be able to help Beecroft Bowling Club reenergize their interior clubhouse.”

Geoff Ashton thanked Mr Leeser for his contribution.

“This will benefit not only the Bowling Members, but the many other groups who use our facilities like Children’s Chess, Probus and the Bridge Club,” Mr Ashton said.

Beecroft Bowling and Recreation Club hopes to have the new carpet completed by April.

The $5,000 grant was provided by Mr Leeser as part of the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Program, which allocates $150,000 to each electorate for projects that create vibrant and viable communities.
