Federal Member for Berowra Julian Leeser MP has presented Australia Ling Liang Church Asquith with a grant to provide playground equipment for local families who attend the Church.

Mr Leeser’s $2,500 contribution for the equipment was warmly received.

“A playground is an important asset for the Church and provides essential infrastructure for a family environment,” Mr Leeser said.

“Through investments like this, we are strengthening Ling Liang Church and their ability to provide Church services to the Hornsby and Asquith community – and more importantly – for children and families to have fun.”

Ling Liang Church English Pastor, Michael Leong, thanked Mr Leeser for his contribution, explaining how much the much needed money would help them transform their Church.

“Our Church provides vital services to the local Christian Hornsby and Asquith community. Many parents and children attend our Church services on the weekend and many families visit our grounds for community functions.”

“This money will be used to build a playground which will enhance the experience for local families so they can continue to enjoy the Church,” English Pastor Michael Leong said.

The $2,500 grant was provided by Mr Leeser as part of the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Program, which allocates $150,000 to each electorate for projects that create vibrant and viable communities.
