Julian Leeser MP, Federal Member for Berowra, has described the opening of a new bulk billing clinic as a “win for the community” at the recent launch of Asquith Doctors Medical Centre.
Asquith Doctors Medical Centre welcomed the local community for coffee and cake on Thursday, 25 January 25 ahead of their official opening on Monday, 29 January.
Asquith Doctors Medical Centre is Dr Mehdi Samari’s second practice, following the success of his clinic at Mount Kuring-gai. Many of his Mount Kuring-gai patients were on hand to help celebrate the Asquith opening.
Mr Leeser said bulk billing practices like Dr Samari’s help ensure medical care is accessible to the entire community.
“GP Bulk billing rates in Berowra have never been higher. Under the Coalition Government, 86.6% of all GP visits in my electorate are bulk billed,” Mr Leeser said.
“Practices like Asquith Doctors Medical Centre are a real win for the community.”
Dr Mehdi Samari said he was proud to be able to help people in Asquith, Mount Kuring-gai and the surrounding suburbs.
“People can’t afford to spend $70 each time they go to the doctor. Sometimes they have to see the doctor twice a week. I’m thrilled to be able to provide a service to the community through bulk billing.”
Asquith Doctors Medical will be open 7 days a week 9am to 6pm.
