Children and their families will benefit from new community spaces, including playgrounds and an off-leash dog park at Hunt Reserve in Mount Colah, with a re-elected Morrison Government committing $500,000 to support the completion of the project.

Federal Liberal Member for Berowra, Julian Leeser, said the new outdoor spaces would benefit children, families and the broader community.

“The pandemic reminded us of the importance of our parks especially in built up areas. This funding will ensure Hunt Reserve receives these much needed upgrades so it can be a safe, pleasant and fun park for local families in Mount Colah and our wider community,” Mr Leeser said.

“The upgrade will improve the amenities at Hunt Reserve, including a new playground and inclusive playspace, off-leash dog park and streetscape improvements.

“I know the Mount Colah community has been calling out for an upgrade at Hunt Reserve and I’m pleased to be working with Hornsby Council to ensure the community gets the upgrade they deserve.”

If re-elected the Morrison Government will deliver this project in partnership with the Hornsby Shire Council. Only the Morrison Government will continue to deliver a better future for Berowra as part of our plan to build a strong economy and a stronger future.
